VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Deputy Director, Downtown SAM Operations

The Downtown DC Business Improvement District Corporation is currently recruiting for an experienced manager with strong leadership, motivational and supervisory skills to help lead the Downtown SAM (Safety, Hospitality and Maintenance) Program. The Deputy Director will focus on training, customer service, employee relations, effective supervision; and will implement and oversee a comprehensive quality control program, working closely with shift supervisors.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ supervisory experience in a service environment, such as public safety, community partnership, military or local hospitality/tourism, or in human resources, employee relations and training in a service industry.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to develop operations procedures, training manuals and materials.  A Bachelor’s degree is required; bilingual English/Spanish a plus; familiarity with the Downtown DC attractions and resources preferred.  Some evening and weekend availability required.  The Downtown BID is a non-profit organization; we offer competitive salary, excellent benefits and central location convenient to public transportation.
