Learn MoreThe DC Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to participate in a focus group (small discussion group) on ways to incentivize growth and mitigate challenges that small and medium sized businesses face in the District of Columbia. The meeting sessions should last no longer than one and a half hours and will be held in the four quadrants throughout the city.
We are currently surveying local businesses and conducting small focus groups with the business community to make recommendations to the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. Both will help us identify and follow up on important issues that impact business growth and retention. Direct feedback from businesses like yours is critical to making this effort a success.
The focus meetings will consist of small business owners and representatives such as yourself, who employ 50 or more employees. During the meeting you will have the opportunity to tell us about your business and your business operational needs. Whether you are a longstanding member of the business community, or a recent startup business, you have business development needs we want to hear about. Please feel assured that anything you say during the focus group meeting will be kept strictly confidential and the DC Chamber of Commerce will not release any information that can be linked to you.
We will host the four focus groups beginning the week of August 15th across the District of Columbia.

- Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 9:30am-11:00am at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center (2730 Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, SE, WDC 20032);
- Friday, August 26, 2016 from 1:00pm-2:30pm, Gallaudet University, Kellogg Conference Center (800 Florida Avenue, NE, WDC 20002);
- Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 12:00pm-1:30pm at the DC Chamber (506 9th St NW, WDC 20004)
Refreshments will be provided and starting times for the meetings will vary per location.
