Constructed between 1904-1908, the John A. Wilson or the Wilson was  building renamed in 1994, in honor of John A. Wilson former DC City Council Chair and DC City Council member for Ward 2.  This five-storey building , which is also  an example of American Beaux Arts  architecture, occupues  the entire block between 13th and 14th Streets NW,  and south of Pennsylvania Avenue across from Freedom Plaza.  Since 1999, the Wilson building has been the headquarters of the DC Mayor and City Council or City Hall.
