Always wanted to live in the middle of it all? Soon you can when the sparkling, spectacular new Apartments at CityCenter open as part of the CityCenterDC project in the heart of downtown. Running along 10th Street between H and I, the 458 airy rental units offer unique floor plans, high-end finishes, and access to onsite amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, rooftop bocce and dogwalk, and HydroClub (that’s a pool and lounge). The building is carefully designed to integrate outdoors and in, with lots of natural light shimmering on textured surfaces, balconies and terraces throughout, and creative green spaces between like moss gardens and water features.

Residents will begin moving into the new neighborhood on December 1, according to Bozzuto Management Co. Units include studios on up to 3-bedroom residences, with the larger spaces offering a real option for downtown family living at 1800 square feet. The luxe apartments are part of the multi-use development led by Hines that includes first floor retail, condos, offices, hotel, and a new city park. While the market-priced dwellings go for $2130 to over $7000 a month for a 3-bedroom, affordable units comprise 20% of the building, and as of press time, several remain available.

Considering the apartments are located on the former DC convention center site, the location is ideal. Close to the hubbub of Gallery Place, just a few blocks to Metro Center and F Street shopping, and steps from up-and-coming Franklin Park and the Carnegie Library, the Apartments at CityCenter offer front row seats to DC’s downtown neighborhood renaissance. The space provides unique, picturesque views such as the dome of the Natural History Museum down 10th Street. The entire CityCenterDC project is designed to be human-scaled, with lots of new open public spaces, pedestrian alleys, and plazas. They’ve even built a brand new road, opening up I Street between 11th and 9th. (Not to fear! Spiffy new shrink-wrapped parking meters are in place and ready to go.)

The sustainable apartment development expects to meet the LEED Silver rating. Overall, the CityCenterDC project has been pre-certified Gold for the new LEED Neighborhood Development program recognizing smart growth, urbanism, green building, and quality of life for the surrounding area and environment. So that means the development gets a sparkling green star from our ecoDistrict!
