The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce the upcoming release of an energy leadership paper “Recharged” which will delve into the energy challenges facing Washington, D.C. and propose solutions to solve some of the city’s biggest energy challenges.
This paper will explore several of D.C.’s foundational energy challenges including power reliability, rising energy costs and obstacles to the generation of clean energy.
Three actions will be proposed to move the city forward: modernize the grid and its regulatory constructs, aggregate buying power and unleash new capital and transform the market with data and performance transparency.
