Three days of events related to drinking wine, cocktails and beer and eating great food are coming to DowntownDC this week as the 15th Annual International Wine & Food Festival kicks off Thursday, Feb. 13.

The festival, held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW) and presented by The Washington Post, has become one of D.C.’s largest and most popular wine events, drawing thousands to sample food and drink, learn about wine and pairings, meet chefs and winemakers and soak up entertainment. Attendees will have access to more than 150 international wineries pouring over 600 wines from Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, Spain and the United States.

On each of the festival’s three evenings (Feb. 13, 14 and 15), ticketed visitors can attend the main event for $120, and enjoy wine and cocktail tastings, music, a beer garden and food. The Atrium Lounge will offer international-themed food, beverage, decor and music provided by a DJ. The casual Movers, Shakers & Beer Makers room will have craft made cocktails, a beer garden and a live band. And the Wine Club will feature wine tastings and light hors d’oeuvres.

The main tasting event will run from 8-11pm Thursday and from 7-10pm on Friday and Saturday, all culminating in a finale event Saturday.

Limited-availability master classes for $45 will also be held in the evenings on select liquor and wine including Hendrick’s Gin, Pinot Noir from MacPhail Winery, and Highland Park single malt.

This year’s festival also includes a free event for the publica Festival Marketplace open Thursday and Friday from 12-8pm featuring 40 artisans and vendors and complimentary beverages for all.

Tickets for available festival events may be purchased online at wineandfooddc.com.
