Capital Harvest on the Plaza (CHOP) returns on Friday, April 20, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue). This means more live music, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations and local farmers and vendors—including Kettle Korn of Maryland, with its delicious, aromatic popcorn.

CHOP, a project of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), will be held every Friday through November. In addition to some of last year’s vendors and farmers—including Meatcrafters, Nuts to You! and Eula’s Savory Bean SoupsEdible Favors and Flax Seasoning have joined the CHOP lineup this season.

Once again the market will feature nutritionist Katherine Tallmadge, who will share her recipes, and offer shoppers the chance to win a basket full of market goodies. Chef Sarah Biglan of Ris will lead the first season’s chef demo, while Bumper Jacksons will entertain with jazz and pre-war country repertoire. Find out more.
