Smartphone users, listen up. Metro now has a new mobile website providing quick access to the most popular features of wmata.com while on the go. The new mobile site replaces an earlier version launched years ago, before touch-screen navigation. Among the new features: Trip Planner, Next Train and Next Bus, Service Nearby, News, Elevator Status, Alerts and Advisories, and Call Transit Police. The mobile site follows the launch last November of new flat-screen displays at every Metrorail station entrance. The kiosk displays, linked to the MetroAlerts network, turn red when an alert could affect your trip.
