Want to hear  about  a “smart” sensor pilot program that is providing greater accountability for managing building waste and recycling? Are you ready to learn how to get prepared for the new WELL Building Standard, LEED v4 and LEED EB for Multifamily and how these new sustainability certifications will impact building management? Attend the “Latest Sustainability Trends, Challenges and Updates” seminar produced by the Apartment and Office Building Association (AOBA) in partnership with the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) on June 11.

This seminar will feature an opening keynote by Brendan Shane, who led the development of the Sustainable DC plan for the District of Columbia. Brendan will relate that experience to his new role as the C40-Cities regional director for North America, where Brendan collaborates with a global network of city leaders to minimize the climate impacts of the built environment across North America’s 14-largest cities.

Industry experts Katie Ross, senior project manager for sustainability at DTZ, Chris Ashworth, VP and regional manager for Healthy Buildings and David Troust, vice president of business development at Great Forest Inc. will then participate in a panel discussion moderated by Marc Fischer, president of InspiRE Commercial Real Estate.

Property managers, building staff and others will gain valuable information on the latest trends and challenges in building sustainability at this seminar, hosted by Venable.
