The DC Circulator website has a new look. Think more user-friendly and interactive. The redesigned features include rider information covering everything from how to navigate the bus system to loading your bike onto the bus; an interactive Google map; neighborhood information; live Twitter updates linking you to service alerts; and the Nextbus tool to help you plan trips and know when your next bus is arriving. Down the road the website, www.DCCirculator.com, will be optimized for mobile devices.

In other Circulator news, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) rescheduled the bus line’s Second Semi-Annual Public Forum for Wednesday, February 29, at Union Station (50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE) from 7:00 am to 8:30 am.  The Circulator’s route performance, new enhancements, and future plans for the popular system are among the topics that will be presented and discussed.

In addition, passengers will be able to share their thoughts on the system’s strengths and weaknesses to ensure that it continues to meet their current and future needs. To submit comments in advance, contact Brooke Fossey at brooke.fossey@dc.gov or click on the Contact Us link located on the DC Circulator website. For more information, contact Circe Torruellas at circe.torruellas@dc.gov or 202.409.2201.

Inexpensive and operating on an every-10-minute schedule, the Circulator is a product of a unique public/private partnership between DDOT, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and DC Surface Transit, Inc. (DCST), a non-profit organization that includes the DowntownDC BID and its organizational partners.
