Love films? Get ready for the Sixth Annual DC Shorts Film Festival, a whirlwind sampling of short films showing at the Landmark E Street Cinema (555 11th Street) and the US Navy Memorial Burke Theater (701 Pennsylvania Avenue) from Thursday, September 10 through Thursday, September 17.
Film enthusiasts will be able to view local and foreign cinematic wonders; take advantage of free lunchtime screenings, seminars and family showings; and attend an awards ceremony and much, much more. Oh, and did we mention that more than 150 filmmakers from all over the world will be attending?
How the festival works: You can screen 100 films in 10 rotating showcases during the film competition weekend September 10 to September 12. You can also see a re-screening of the entire program, plus specialty shows of remixed films after the competition weekend September 13 through September 17. The weeklong festival culminates with a special “Best of DC Shorts” screening on Thursday, September 17.
