In the spirit of spring cleaning, the DowntownDC BID will soon wrap up repair work on about 300 public trash cans. The work began last month and is expected to be completed in early May. Workers have been steadily replacing more than 200 bottom plates, 60 lids, and 10 latches. In addition, 30 trash cans in need of extra TLC were sent to the manufacturer for refurbishment and will return looking good as new. Keep your eyes peeled for another 33 new trash cans, which will be installed throughout the BID over the next few weeks. The new and refurbished cans will sport updated DowntownDC BID logo bands.
