It’s time to chow down and savor the culinary delights of Washington, DC Restaurant Week, when diners will have the chance to experience more than 60 of Downtown’s finest restaurants at reduced prices. The popular bi-annual feast returns from August 16 through August 22.

The special, one-week dining event is a great time to sample newcomers—such as Carmine’s (425 7th Street)—award-winning picks—Downtown has many, including Co Co. Sala (929 F Street), The Source (575 Pennsylvania Avenue) and The Capital Grille (601 Pennsylvania Avenue)—and old neighborhood favorites, like the District Chophouse & Brewery (509 7th Street).

Participating restaurants will serve three-course, fixed-price lunch ($20.10) or dinner ($35.10), or both, excluding tax, gratuity and beverages. So think French, Italian, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, Mexican, southern and seafood—the tempting cuisines will run the gamut.

Destination DC and the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington sponsor this much-anticipated gourmet event, which is normally held in January and August.
