Need breakfast to energize your day? The October edition of Washingtonian magazine features “Best Breakfasts: 50 Restaurants Worth Waking Up For,” only the list really includes more than 50 of the DC area’s best breakfast and brunch spots. Nine Downtown restaurants made the cut by offering everything from lemon-yogurt pancakes and Belgian waffles to buttery escargots and chicken-and-andouille gumbo. Here’s a glimpse by category:
