Registration for Bike to Work Day is open now. Who cares that the regional event won’t take place until Friday, May18? Act now! Free T-shirts are limited to the first 11,000 bikers who register. This year’s Downtown pit stop: Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue).

So, please, don’t show up at Freedom Plaza on 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. All the action will go down a block away, where the DowntownDC BID has partnered with the Reagan Building to sponsor this year’s pit stop for cyclists, who will convene there from 7:00 am to 9:00 am from points throughout the city and region.

Bike to Work Day is a free event that celebrates bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work. Supported by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and Commuter Connections—a regional network of transportation organizations coordinated by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments—it is open to all area commuters.

Woodrow Wilson Plaza is one of 58 meet up spots throughout the region. Raffles, prizes, food, drinks, and more will be available at each location.
