“The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) serves the DowntownDC community and its stakeholders. Today, through financial support provided by the Embassy of the State of Qatar, Washington Capitals fans, employees and visitors to downtown DC will be able to utilize Metrorail service beyond the culmination of tonight’s game. The State of Qatar’s $100,000 contribution will cover the cost of extended Metrorail service. The Capital One Arena and the Washington Capitals remain valuable assets to downtown DC and we will continue to explore new ways to support these and other stakeholders through our support for late-night Metrorail service and other actions.”
