The DowntownDC BID presents its Fall 2019 DowntownDC Economy Update, which provides current data on the DowntownDC economy from January through September/November 2019 (depending on data availability).
The report shows that there continues to be strong investment and development interest in DowntownDC as many economic sectors continue as regional, national and international leaders. However, the economic data for the first nine to 11 months of 2019 contained more negative news than in recent years, including a slight decline in estimated DowntownDC employment and a significant increase in vacancy rates in the office and shopping sectors.
