Now in its fifth year, the popular outdoor movie series combining action films and live DJ performances moves to its permanent home, Franklin Park
Washington, D.C. — For the fifth year, the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and creative event production group Shaolin Jazz are partnering to bring eight free outdoor movies to District residents, workers, and visitors. And this summer, the DowntownDC Summer Flicks – Can I Kick It? series, which combines action films and live DJs spinning hip-hop, jazz, and more, moves to its new, permanent home: the recently revitalized Franklin Park. Presented by Whole Foods Market, which will offer treat bags to attendees at every screening while supplies last, the movie series kicks off on Tuesday, June 7, and runs weekly through July. Seating for each event begins at 7:30 pm, and movies start at sunset.
