Ricki Peltzman started Upstairs on 7th in 2003 after moving here following her career in fashion. She continued the work as the owner and buyer of the D.C. store, operating inside Touchstone Art Gallery, which was then on 7th Street Northwest. After developing a following, moving to the Warner Building didn’t mean a name change, nor did it change her commitment to being the best, most exclusive store in D.C.
