EXPERIENCE A WORLD-RENOWNED HOLIDAY FESTIVAL IN DOWNTOWN D.C. – 12th Annual DowntownDC Holiday Market Returns
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Downtown D.C. will come alive with holiday cheer once again on Black Friday (Nov. 25) when the 12th Annual DowntownDC Holiday Market (#DowntownDCHolidayMarket) opens for business, bringing unique gifts, music, entertainment and So Much More to Downtown in a unique, outdoor festival setting.
At this year’s outdoor marketplace, located on F Street between 7th & 9th streets NW outside the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum, shoppers will find more than 150 curated, unique exhibitors and artisans offering fine art, crafts, glass, jewelry, pottery, photography clothing and more. The market is produced annually by Diverse Markets Management (DMM) in partnership with the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID). Today, the Downtown Holiday Market is consistently ranked among the 10 Best Holiday Markets in the nation, including by USA Today in 2015.
“The DowntownDC Holiday Market enlivens Downtown each season, bringing the Downtown community, regional residents and tourists together for a unique, outdoor shopping experience that is recognized worldwide,” said Neil O. Albert, executive director of the DowntownDC BID.
“More than 300 vendors apply each year for this market as its status and popularity continue to grow,” said Mike Berman, president of DMM and manager of the DowntownDC Holiday Market. “We are pleased to offer new vendors and old favorites alike this season and to once again bring unique gifts to DowntownDC.” The DowntownDC Holiday Market draws an estimated 25,000 customers daily from the city, region and world.
