Free Outdoor Movie Series at Franklin Park
Join the DowntownDC BID for the seventh annual DowntownDC Summer Flicks outdoor movie series, returning to Franklin Park with the allure of cinema under the stars. From June 6 to July 18, immerse yourself in the ultimate outdoor cinematic experience, where beloved films meet live scores by renowned guest DJs.
Every Thursday evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., the FREE festivities begin with music from a impressive lineup of special guest DJs, setting the mood for an unforgettable night. As the sun sets, settle in with blankets and chairs for a journey through cinematic classics and modern favorites.

On July 18, join us for a unique experience as we pay tribute to the legendary Prince with “A Night with Prince in the Park.” Starting at 6:30 p.m., our DJ will set the stage, followed by a mesmerizing mini-concert featuring Grammy-nominated singer Edward “Junie” Henderson from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Then, at 8:30 p.m., indulge in the cinematic feature “Under the Cherry Moon.”
