National Theatre was established in 1835 and is the oldest continually operating theatre in Washington, D.C. Located three blocks from the White House, the “Theater of Presidents” has seen Pennsylvania Avenue grow from the muddy main street of a fledgling capital to the ceremonial avenue of a great world power.
