The Grand Hyatt Washington, DC (1000 H Street) and Hyatt Regency Washington (400 New Jersey Avenue) hotels have spruced up their look, recently completing a combined renovation totaling $42 million. The Grand Hyatt Washington spent $23 million to revamp all 897 guestrooms and suites and guestroom corridors and expand its Grand Club lounge. The Hyatt Regency Washington’s $19 million transformation included redesigning all 836 guestrooms and suites and public spaces and expanding its Regency Club lounge. The Grand Hyatt, located directly across the street from the massive CityCenterDC mixed-use project now underway, says it infused the hotel with a clean and sophisticated design and a new color palette that gives a nod to D.C.’s famous cherry blossoms and Potomac River. The folks over at the National Cherry Blossom Festival are happy to hear it! Both hotels combined their sales and marketing teams last month to create “a seamless selling process.”
