The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) is currently preparing a map illustrating these closures, which will be released in the coming days. The largest impact within the BID’s 138-block area will be the Pope’s visit to Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church (619 10th Street NW) on Thursday, Sept. 24. Parking and street closure restrictions will begin the night of Sept. 23 around 7pm.
For Downtown stakeholders who would like to learn more about how the pope’s visit will impact DowntownDC, please join the BID for a briefing with U.S. Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department on Wednesday, September 16th at 2:00 pm at the Inter-American Development Bank (1330 New York Avenue NW). As space is limited, registration is required for this event.
