The ears, eyes and caretakers of DowntownDC are getting a new look.

DowntownDC BID Safety/Hospitality and Maintenance employees are getting revamped uniforms this spring.

Men and women will be outfitted in black pants instead of blue and black detailing will be added to uniform patches, logos and other uniform designs.  Female SAMs will also have their own female-fit uniforms. Instead of name identification patches, SAMs will sport engraved silver colored nameplates while supervisors will wear gold nameplates.

These design and style changes are sharp and professional and I think they continue to represent the high-quality service we provide to Downtown,” said Jalal Chaoui, Business Manager for the DowntownDC BID’s Operations.

The BID is shooting to unveil the uniforms at this spring’s National Cherry Blossom Festival parade, which will be held on Saturday, April 12.
